There is no greater pain, I believe, than what a mother experiences when her children are hurting. When there is nothing we can do to make it better it’s excruciating. You
are constantly asking yourself, have I done enough. So much of how we react has to do with personality, up bringing, faith, fortitude and financial status. I believe everyone does as much as they can and as best as they can.
To waste our time and energy on guilt is non productive. Guilt is a cunning weapon the enemy uses to achieve his purpose, we can always find something to be guilty about. The problem with guilt is that it doesn't solve anything and just keeps us in a dark place filled with despair.
I choose to live with the eternal hope that God Almighty knows exactly what he’s doing. I will keep my eyes steadfast on HIM and trust that HE will be with us on this journey, teaching us, protecting us and ultimately bringing the gift of healing, whether it’s in this life or in heaven. I will see my son whole again…
